Introduction
• Switched-mode converters
• Switches are required to turn on and turn off load current during each switching.
• High switching stress and high switching power loss
• Increases linearly with switching frequency.
• EMI issues due to large di/dt and dv/dt during switch-mode operation.
• Sub-classification
• Resonant-switch dc-dc converters
• Zero-current switching (ZCS) converters
• Zero-voltage switching (ZVS) converters
• Zero-voltage switching, clamped-voltage converters
