Activity 1:

You are about to produce a TV Commercial that promotes proper hand washing, with elementary
students as your target audience. Create a commercial treatment for this project below. Underline the
camera techniques that you chose to use.

SCENE 1 SCENE 2

“Handwashing heroes” commercial inform the children
and even adults the risk of the spreading virus during
these present times. The commercial begins with the
child narrating the new normal of the surroundings. The
child asks her parents about the spreading virus then a
video clip of person infected is flash in the commercial
using a medium camera shot to show the symptoms

Several shots of the person using medium close up
camera shots are shown to further explained the scope
of the symptoms. This shot being taken are the
following scenes like a person looking tired experience
sickness and extreme cough.

SCENE 3 SCENE 4

The scenes are shifted into the narration of the child
how can we help reducing the number of recorded
infected persons. The prevention tips start with an
infected person staying at home that implies a low angle
wide shot to prove that the person is in his home while
experiencing the symptoms of the virus.
The prevention tips continue until the important part
where the hand washing product is shown as the
material used in order kill the bacteria and virus brought
by different carriers. Using low angle close up shot the
washing of hands are recorded with specific steps to be
followed in order to ensure that there are no bacteria
left in the hands.

SCENE 5 SCENE 6

The flow of the commercial arrives to the parts that the
narration of the child talks about when should we wash
our hands. Consecutive medium shots are used to show
the events like children playing with their toys, family
before eating, and also a person who experienced
sneezing and coughing.
At the very last part using wide shot technique the
whole cast of the commercial are recorded in a way that
they are posing like heroes or what they call
Handwashing Heroes.

Activity 2: PERFORMANCE TASK (Video Project)

 Write a video treatment for a 30-50 second music video.

  Draw a storyboard for your music video applying the different camera techniques.
 Shoot the scenes using your smartphone.
 Use a video editing mobile application to edit and create your music video.

Activity 2 – Video Treatment

SCENE 1 SCENE 2

“Kailan Pa” music video wants to give us an
important message on when we will decide to
serve the path of our Lord. The music video starts
with the view of the clouds in the sky using the
camera technique of moving form low to high angle
extreme wide shot.
The next scene shown is the reality on how people
decided to ignore the invitation of the church.
Employing close-up shots, the scene when
invitations are being thrown was recorded. Then
the scene shifted for the entry of the music artist
singing the song “Kailan Pa”.

SCENE 3 SCENE 4

In connection with the lyrics, using the close-up
shot the material like the Bible and how a man
ended his life without the chance of serving the
God are being taken.
The flow of the music video continues when a
certain man invited family from house to house but
they keep denying his request. This scene utilizes
over the shoulder shot to show the view of the man
towards the family without any blocking.

SCENE 5 SCENE 6

The video arriving to its final part, there was a Just like how the music video started, it ended with
flashback story of a man who spend his old days the music artist singing “Kailan Pa” on grassy area
drinking alcohol but later on he decided to accept and the camera moves from high to low angle wide
serving God and due to his health issues, his life shot capturing the view of clear sky.
