LESSON: Physical Fitness


OBJECTIVES:
At the end of this lesson, the pupils must be able to:

1. Identify the different components of Physical Fitness.


2. Create a Digital New Normal Physical Activity Pyramid.
3. Assess physical fitness.

PHILIPPINE PHYSICAL ACTIVITY PYRAMID is a plan that


guides you to balance physical activities like:

1. Watching television, playing computer games.


2. Doing martial arts, jogging, swimming, dancing, skating.
3. Playing basketball, bicycling, exercises, doing errands.
4. Cleaning the house, walking the dog, washing dishes.

PHYSICAL FITNESS is when you perform a daily task without


getting tired and still has the energy to enjoy other activities. Physical
fitness has two types: health-related and skill-related components as
found below, which both work hand in hand for your total well-being.

Fitness components are essential characteristics an individual must have
to perform simple activities to more strenuous ones. The following are
fitness components.
