Topic 1: A holiday celebration or family tradition

There are many festivals in Viet Nam in a year such as Independence Day, Mid-
autumn festival, International Women's Day, etc. Among them, the Lunar New Year
is the most important and popular holiday in these traditional festivals. This is a
transitional festival period between the old year and the new year. It is an occasion for
everyone to commemorate ancestors, pilgrims, and family reunions.

Tet is a festival that occurs in late January or early February. And Vietnamese people
have from 9 to 11 days for the Tet holiday. Lunar New Year is the time when people
sit together. They eat Chung cake which is tranditional dishes of Tet holiday. Then,
everyone have to visit relatives and friend. They exchange New year's wishes and give
little children lucky money in red envelope on the first day of Lunar New Year.
Vietnamese people also have had the tradition of going to the pagoda. They pray for
health, happiness, luck, and prosperity, or other good things to start a new year.

Tet is a word that is very familiar with Vietnamese people whenever we think about
our country. As for me, I enjoy the warm and cozy Tet's atmosphere when all
members of my family stay and talk together.
Topic 2: A particular or favorite place or time of day

Everyone has a favorite time of the day and I am no exception as I enjoy the early
morning time specifically around 5 O’clock AM for many reasons.

First, this is the time where I start all day. Because I think that the way I start my
morning can make or break my day. From my experience, when I start my day with
positive energy, I am on the right path towards a successful day. And if I wake up
feeling tired and lazy, then there is something wrong with my daily life schedule. The
second reason is “My Time” the time for my daily walk. I love going on walks
because I get an opportunity to truly exercise my five senses of touch, sight, hearing,
smell, and taste. Especially, I love the morning atmosphere. There are cooler
temperatures in summer for enjoying outdoor exercise, compared with later in the day.
That is the reason why I always walking in a park near my house. The park provides a
wonderful place and air for sports lovers. Finally, it is “Family Meals” when all of my
family members gather before doing their own jobs. Family meals offer an
opportunity for all my family members to enjoy good food and share their stories. I
believe that eating together as a family develops excellent family relationships.

I think that everybody needs to keep their positive routines I always enjoy my
wonderful moment of the morning day. I will keep my routine because it provides
active energy for every workday and help me archive the balance of my life.
Topic 3: A work of art (painting, sculpture, photograph, etc.)

All painting always has own story behind themselves. In the paintings, the artists hide
stories, emotions, and information for spectators. That is a tool of artists can use to
express themselves, share their beliefs, or simply paint beautiful sceneries. It was a
couple of weeks ago when I saw this picture in the painting exhibition that is a
landscape painting of Ha Long Bay.

At that moment, I was excited and enjoyed that painting for a long time. The picture
looks like a real Ha Long Bay but has been scaled down. Halong Bay is a popular
travel destination in Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam. When I saw the painting, the
color may be the most important thing are attracted me. The artist uses bright colors as
the primary color for the whole picture. From the sky with blue and white clouds to
water surface with high clarity and deep blue color. I can imagine if I see deeply into
the water surface, it seems to be able to see to the bottom. The range of mountains is
filled with the fresh green color of grasses and trees making it a spectacular sight to
remember. Far away, the sun slowly peeps over the range of mountains. I can see the
reflection of wooden boats and big yachts in the calm water during the sunrise.

The painting is given many charming views of my country. I never have a chance to
visit HaLong Bay, but after saw this painting, I decided to travel to this wonderful
place in the future. Thanks, artist, and your artwork.
