I. Beginning the FormworkModeler
1. Before the starting
1) Supporting SketchUp Version : SketchUp Pro 2019
2) Menu location : View >Toolbars > FormworkModeler
3) Errors : If some serious problems are occurred, please remove below files.
① Folder path :
C:\Users\PCName\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp2019\SketchUp\Plugi
ns
② Remove files: formworkmodeler folder & formworkmodeler.rb
2. Installation of the FormworkModeler
1) Installation a FormworkModeler.exe file
① Download the install file on

(sketchup.buildingpoint.co.kr/#formworkmodeler)
② Run a FormworkModeler.exe file
③ Finish the FormworkModeler and Run SketchUp
2) Activation the extension
① Run the SketchUp and click a icon(anything)
② Input the license data on the activation window

II. A basic modeling instruction for FormworkModeler
1. The FormworkModeler can be applied FrameModeler components only.
(FrameModeler is Free.)
2. Prepare a modelings which are made by FrameModeler.
3. Select and merge walls and columns with ‘Outer Shell’ in Solid Tools.
4. After ‘Outer Shell’, select the merged component > Right Click > FrameModeler >
Convert2FrameModel.
5. Insert details and click OK
6. Finish!

※ The FrameModeler is free.

※ All overlapped components are trimmed FrameModeler.
※ Forms are placed on FrameModeler mapping faces.
※ You shouldn’t proceed the Outer Shell function on Slabs or Beams. They didn’t need to apply Outer
Shell function.

IV. Using the FormworkModeler
01 Calculate Formwork in Model
1. Select components and Click the icon.
2. All forms are automatically placed.
3. Form size display : Menu bar > Extension > FormworkModeler > VisibleSizeText
(Text-blank forms are 600mm*1200mm)

 Modify forms
1. Select components which you want to modify.
※ For better use, change the model view ‘TOP’
2. Click the edit icon( ) on tool bar
※ Based on Euro form, choose a form type, size & placement options.
After the set-up and click OK. All the set-up will be hided and guide lines are displayed.
3. Click the starting and ending points based on the guide lines.
4. Press the Enter key and finish the work
 Modify Form Accessories(Out-corner or In-corner)
1. Select components
2. Click the icon ( ) > Out-corner → Choose an item size
3. Click OK > Click the starting and ending point
4. Set an angle of the item
5. Press the Enter key and finish the work
<After> <Before>
※ For In-corner, you can apply same as Out-corner.
03 Convert Form in polymodel
1. After the basic modeling of forms, Click the convert icon( ) on toolbar

04 Export Quantity of Forms
1. After the form modeling, click the report icon( )
2. Every quantity about the formwork is calculated automatically.
3. There are 2 sheets on the report. The ‘Sheet 1’ is a contents about regular
components and the Sheet 2 is irregular components and plywood quantity report.

4. You can save this report as an excel file.
05 Display the selected item in the model on the Report

Sheet
1. Select any data which you want to check on the report sheet
2. Click the selected item icon and the selected data is marked on models and other
models will be turned to x-ray mode.
06 Further features
1. Features on menu bar

- Menu bar → Extensions → FormworkModeler
① VisibleSizeText : Display form sizes

② License Check : Managing a license
③ Setting : Maximum length of flat tie
if this value is less than a wall thickness, the FormworkModeler cause some
errors.

I. Beginning the FormworkModeler
