1. What are the stages in the writing process shown in the model?
• Planning/Generating Ideas
• Focusing
• Structuring
• Drafting
• Evaluating
• Reviewing/Revision
2. What do the arrows imply?
• The arrows imply a step-by-step process in which it presents what goes next
into the process. In the diagram, it is depicted in a complex manner but still it
is the same. The writing process goes in an unending cycle of different
processes to fully accomplish a good literature.
3. Do you agree that writing is a process? Why?
• Yes, because writing is a form of transcribing knowledge or expressions into
physical output. Writing always goes from a starting line to a finish line
depending on the writer. An example is writing an essay, first a writer must
generate ideas to lay out the general idea of the composition. Second, is to
focus what kind of topic the writer wants to pursue in the essay. Third is to
properly arrange the structure of ideas to make the essay fluid and much
easier to understand. Fourth, draft writing the essay that the writer wants to
write making it as a trail sample of the whole essay. Fifth, the writer now
evaluates what he/she has written in the draft. Last but not the least, review
and revise what must be revised to fully express what must be expressed in
the essay. Then the cycle repeats until the writer is fully satisfied of the
composition. That is why in my opinion, I agree that writing is an unending
process in pursuit to express the writers mind into physical written output.
