Checklist for Standby period, Department: Operation

1. GENSET:
a. LO level (dipstick) record (3 hrs interval)
b. Water level record (3 hrs interval)
c. Engine temp (jacket water) record (3 hrs interval)
d. Engine jacket water circulation (Over flow weekly Interval and One Engine/Day)
e. Governor oil level record (3 hrs interval)
f. Alternator anti-condensation heater functionality record (3 hrs interval)
g. Turn crankshaft 90° with turning gear & check motor current (8 hrs interval)
h. Turning & checking full cycle (two turn) 01-day interval.
i. Check for any kind of leakage (oil, water, air) (3 hrs interval)
j. Check all panel heater functionality (8 hrs interval)
k. Turn the engine with turning gear once in a week with pre-lubrication pp on for 10 min
l. Run engine at idle mode once in a month for 2 min (Before start ensue JW temp is >60 Degree Celsius &
LO is >40 Degree Celsius)
m. Cylinder Tightness Measuring Record 100 OH & Peak pressure record 250 OH intervals.
n. Follow chapter 3 of Engine Operation and Maintenance Manual (O&MM)
o. Check crank case, cam case & gear case every fortnight for water trace/condensation/rust formation
p. Check sump oil water content once in a fortnight & run LO separator (as necessary)
q. Engine sump LO sampling and test have to be done weekly.
2. Heat recovery
a. Aux. boiler oil level, water level record (3 hrs interval)
b. EGB water level record (3 hrs interval)
c. Steam header pressure record (3 hrs interval)
d. Check all panel heater functionality (daily)
e. EGB blow down for 02 min (daily)
f. Feed water pp switch over (every alternate day)

3. Compressed air system


a. Check instrument air compressor & dryer functionality (3 hrs interval)
b. Record air pressure (3 hrs interval)
c. Purge water from all instrument air bottles & header (8 hrs interval)
d. Check Hydrophore tank (daily)

4. Fuel system
a. Check for any kind of oil leakage (3 hrs interval)
b. Fuel tanks level record (daily)
c. Check all panel heater functionality (daily)
d. Run sludge dryer (as necessary)
e. BT & DT heating (weekly)
f. DT temperature have to be maintain 42 Degree Celsius.

5. MV/LV room
a. Check battery voltage & current (3 hrs interval)
b. Check all panel heater functionality (daily)
c. Remove water from cable cellar/cable trench (as necessary)

6. HV & MV substation
a. Check oil level, silica gel condition, panel heating, SF6 gas pressure & record (3 hrs interval)
b. Check any kind of oil leakage/dust/rust/pinch of wire etc (daily)

7. LV system
a. Switch over to energize the next ACB among Q4, Q5, Q6 (Two monthly)
b. Black start unit: check oil, water, battery voltage & record (daily)
c. Test run the black start unit once in a week & record parameter (weekly)
8. Whole plant
a. Keep unnecessary equipment switched off for minimal power consumption
b. Ensure cleanliness of all plant machineries & whole plant premises (daily)
c.

9. Control room:
a. Monitor all parameter from WOIS station (continuous)
b. Control room
