Work Description

Renewal of rear view mirror

1 Unplug the connectors for the two mirror
motors behind the sun visor.
2 Loosen the screws and lift off the whole
mirror frame.

3 Undo the screws in the mirror frame for the

wide-angle and front view mirror and renew
the mirrors.

4 Detach the main mirror from the mirror

frame.
5 Dismantle the main mirror and unplug the
three connectors.

Connectors

6 Pull the cables out of the main mirror.

Note: If the cables are damaged, the pins must

first be removed from the connectors. This is so
that the cables can be pulled out through the
mirror frame before new cables are fitted.

7 Insert the cables through the new main

mirror and plug in the connectors.
8 Refit the main mirror into the mirror frame.
9 Refit the mirror frame.
10 Plug in the two motor connectors.

1 Unplug the connector for the mirror frame

motor.
2 Undo the screws and renew the motor.
3 Screw on the new motor and fit the
connector.

4 Fold back the rear view mirror with motor 2 Screws
as much as possible.
5 Undo the lock nut on the set screw and
screw in the set screw as much as possible.
6 Fold out the rear view mirror with motor to
its end position.
7 Screw out the set screw until it contacts the
stop heel on the mirror frame.
8 Fold in the rear view mirror. Screw out the
set screw another 1-2 turns and then secure
the set screw with the lock nut.
9 Fold out the rear view mirror and check that
the stop heel just contacts the set screw. This
is to prevent burning out the motor.
