Durkgel insulation uses nano-

structure silica particles to create an
extremely efficient insulation blanket. It
is used for insulation of both hot and
cold process systems, vessels,
equipment and piping.

Durkgel – CR for cold and

cryogenic insulation is available in
6mm and 10mm thick blankets,
supplied in rolls.
The material can be used for insulation
of process pipelines and equipment to
-200°C (-328°F).

High Efficiency Insulation

Durkgel insulation blankets represent the pinnacle in
insulation technology. The extremely low thermal
conductivity of the material enables radically thinner
insulation thicknesses to be used as compared to traditional
materials.

With its k-value of 20µW/mK, it is up to 500% more efficient
than other insulation materials.

Dual-Temperature Capable
Durkgel insulation can handle the stresses of Dual Temperature Lines, with its wider operating
temperature of -200°C to +650°C. It will not crack or rupture, providing material integrity and
reliability in the system.

Water – Repellent (Hydrophobicity)

Durkgel insulation is a very hydrophobic material that does
not allow water to be absorbed into its structure.

Fire Performance: Incombustible
Durkgel insulation is incombustible and is certified to ASTM
E-84 Class A, providing superior fire-safety performance.

HSE: Material Safety – Low Hazard Material
Durkgel insulation does not contain loose fibres, VOC’s or
abrasive particle, making it a very safe material for handling,
fabrication and installation.

Cladding Compatibility
Durkgel insulation is compatible with all types of cladding and jacketing material including non-
metallic cladding.

Ease of Installation
Fabrication and installation of Durkgel is simple and fast. Basic
tools are only required to complete the fabrication and
installation. No special equipment will be required in fabrication.

Vapor barriers are supplied separately to client’s requirements
and applied prior to installation.
This is recommended to reduce damage through handling and
control wastage rates.
