Critical Analysis of the story ‘The Krakauer Table’ Essay

The story ‘The Krakauer Table’ by Shakira Sison is a story about her father’s
relationship with her and her siblings. It focuses on how the author and her siblings
are joyed when they hear their father yell “Krakauer” at almost midnight and how
they have a complicated relationship with him.
‘A person will never be strong if one doesn't experience fear and pain, and
one will not create a better relationship if he or she doesn't experience the opposite’.
It is the lesson and main objective that the story ‘The Krakauer table’ conveys. The
said literary work transmitted its idea in an incredibly engaging manner that certainly
would capture the attention of its readers. In the terms of analyzing the way it is
delivered, ‘The Krakauer table’ can be described as a creative story with an
unpredictable twist. In its beginning, it talks about the author’s joyful experience
with their father, and in contrast to what is expected, the said creative non-fiction
then tells how complicated the author and her sibling's relationship with their father
is. In addition to the entire critique, the concept of the story is truly sad and amazing,
for it gives a vision of both a happy and sad relationship between a father and his
children. Their certain happy memory and their other unhappy recollection of him
served as the cherry on top of the entire idea of the story.
The story ‘The Krakauer table’ is a wonderful story full of thoughts about
families relationships, rewards and consequences, how success can be found in
hardship and suffering, and how at least one simple thing can change a complicated
memory into something good. At the end of this evaluation, if a reader wants a story
that has a deep and uncertain evaluation of the word love, then this is one of the
‘must read’, if not, then this is not the story of his or her.
