This study will demonstrate how Anxiety and Depression affects a student’s academic
performance. As illustrated in the figure above, the independent variable is “Anxiety and
Depression,” and the dependent variable is “Academic Performance,” which will demonstrate
how social media affects student’s academic performance. Moreover, other variables are
illustrated above to show how the independent variable affects the terms of these following
variables. The first variable is Class Participation, which shows how a student focuses in class
when influenced by anxiety and depression. The second variable is the Grade Status; it indicates
whether Anxiety and Depression affects a student positively or negatively based on their grades.
Finally, the Lesson Behavior will demonstrate how effectively students access learning in
themselves, even when feeling anxiety and depression.
