Analyze the given example in your small groups, then answer the following questions:

1. Which of the philosophies studied in Lesson 1 are refiected in the given philosophy?

2. What are the teacher's concept/s of the learner?

The concept of the teacher to the learners is that every child/student shouldn't and not necessarily
capared to others as they are unique individuals and have their particular interest and capabilities on
which they can influence particularly by their environment.

3. Who, according to the Grade school teacher's philosophy, is the good and educated person?

4. What is the teacher' consept on values?

According to teachers concept on values, it is needed to integrate the unchanging values of respect,
honesty, love and care for others as they are unique individuals and have their their particular interest
and capabilities on which they can influence partially by their environment.

5. What does the teacher believe to be her primary task?

She believe that her primary task is to facilitate learning and development of every child.

6. Do his/her concepts of the leamer and the educated person match with how he/she will go about
his/her task of facilitating every child's full development?

7. Yau notice that the teacher's thought on the leamer, vulues and method of teaching begin with the
phrase "I believe". Will it make a difference if the Grade scbool teacher writes his/her philosophy of
education in paragraph form using the third person pronoun?

If it changes changes into the third person pronoun, the teachers philosophy will seem not his/her
philosophy anymore. Although he/she is the one who creates the said philosophy, if the pronoun use
was in the third person pov, it is still not make any difference. However, talking about the said
philosophy, it can still influence other people depending on how they interpret the message of the
philosophy that would imbeud a great impact on their perspective and lives.

8. Why is one's philosophy of education said to be one's "window" to the world or "compass" in life?

It is sad that "ones philosophy is window or compassion" in life because in every individual belief and
perspectives, there is philosophy adhered and embedded to it. For example, when we are facing
difficulties, problems and challenges in life we are facing, solving and adapting to it through applying
concepts of our philosophy. It is a compass in life as philosophy serves as our guide in dealing with life.
