(1) Identify and explain the following based from each of the “five cases”:

a. the HUMAN ACTS - what makes them examples of HUMAN ACTS?;

b. the MAJOR DETERMINANTS OF THE MORALITY OF THE HUMAN ACTS namely, the ACT ITSELF or the OBJECT OF THE ACT, the
MOTIVE or the INTENSION and the CIRCUMSTANCES;

b. the MODIFIERS of HUMAN ACTS, namely, IGNORANCE, PASSION/CONCUPISCENCE, FEAR, VIOLENCE and HABIT;

(2) From the “human acts” you have identified, ASSESS/EVALUATE THE MORALITY/MORAL RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PERSON/S INVOLVED
using the PRINCIPLES GOVERNING THE DETERMINANTS OF MORALITY AND/OR THE MODIFIERS OF HUMAN ACTS.

CASE 1
Suppose a nurse is unsure of dosage. She refers to the doctor's order sheet and finds that she is unable to read his handwriting. She knows that the
doctor is at his office but does not bother to call him. Guessing at the dosage, she administers the medication.

CASE 2

Let us imagine a nurse who accepts employment with a doctor who frequently practices artificial insemination. She may suspect that this is immoral or
something which is contrary to the teaching of her Church but carefully avoids inquiring or even discussing the matter with anybody, lest she discover
that she is cooperating in immorality and be obliged to leave her well-paying job.

CASE 3

A certain nurses' aid habitually tells lies by way of making excuses for minor faults and feels that, since they harm no one, they are in no way sinful.
She is ignorant of that fact that she is in need of enlightenment.

CASE 4

A stenographer who is working after hours in an almost empty building is approached by the department head. The man, suddenly filled with lustful
intentions, makes certain rough and violent advances. The young woman for a moment puts up some resistance and feels that additional resistance
might terminate the incident. However, the man threatens her to death; then she quickly ceases resistance and gives in to the man.

CASE 5

Imagine Juan found a large amount of money amounting to P1M. At that time, he needed the entire amount for a very important and crucial operation
of his mother who was gravely sick. But at the end, after so much deliberation, he decided to entrust the money to a highly reputable TV station that he
hoped could find the rightful owner. However, the money eventually went to someone else’s pocket and was used to finance an illegal activity.
Unfortunately, his mother died because of not having the operation.
