PRELIMINARY ROUND OF ASISC QUIZ 2021- ONLINE VERSION

Details of the Quiz:

1) This edition will be a single student participants only.

2) Each School can nominate TWO STUDENTS FOR EACH CATEGORY ONLY.

3) There will be three Categories:

Sub Junior: Grade 6-8
Junior: Grade 9-10
Senior: Grade 11-12

4) All the registered students will undergo an elimination round for their respective
category.

5) Based on the scores, time taken TOP 8 STUDENTS from each Category will qualify for
the Regional Finals.

6) Only one student per school in each category will qualify for the finals. (8 different
schools in the finals in each category)

7) The Quiz will be a General Knowledge Quiz. The broad topics which the Quiz will
cover are History, Culture & Heritage, Sports, Entertainment, Science & Technology,
World, Literature & Art, Current Affairs, Food & Lifestyle, Business & Brands etc.
Format of the Prelims:
1) All registered participants will have an online elimination round as per the Schedule
given. Each Category will have their Prelims on different days.

2) The Online elimination will happen on an online quiz platform, Google forms Quiz.

3) There will separate prelims for each category. There will be 20 questions to be
answered in 10 minutes with in-built tie breakers.

4) Based on the scores and time, the Top 8 participants in each Category qualify for the
Grand Finals.

5) The content and tabulation and execution of the Prelims will be done by the
Quizmaster.
REGIONAL PRELIMS DETAILS:

a) Online Prelims on Google Forms Quiz Link will be provided 24 Hours prior to the
Organising Team of the Regional Association and can be sent to all the registered
participants. 

b) Online Prelims will start sharp at 10:00am as per the SCHEDULE DATE GIVEN.
(Quizmaster’s team will open the Prelims sharp at the mentioned time and for 10 minutes
only)

c) There will be 20 questions to be answered in 10 minutes.

d) The Prelims closes sharp at 10:10am

e) First 10 questions carry 1 point for a correct answer, the rest 10 questions carry 2
points for a correct answer. Total 30 points Prelims.

f) There is no negative marking.

g) The top 8 participants will be selected based on their scores and time taken.

h) If there is a tie for qualifying, the criteria will be- time taken followed by in-built tie-
breaker questions. 

i) The Prelims is for single participants only.

j) Prelims Log-in details will be provided only for registered participants.

Sub-Junior Prelims- September 17, 2021: 10am- 10:10am
Junior Prelims- September 18, 2021: 10am- 10:10am
Senior Prelims- September 20, 2021: 10am- 10:10am

The quiz will be conducted very seamlessly and shall be a grand

success.
Any further necessary changes to the plan can be mutually discussed and implemented.
