Independent Activity 2
“Changes in Me”
Physical Development: My body changed physically inside and out, since I have lost the
distinctive child physicality through time, and I feel that my organs have experienced the same
metamorphosis in order to match my physical alterations. I observed that I had grown in size,
that my hair had darkened, that my body had lost some suppleness, and that my face had altered,
all of which is usual in adolescence.

Emotional Development: I believe that my emotional development is still in the process. I

consider myself to be a more reasonable and consistent person at times, but I can't escape periods
of flexibility in which I express emotive ideas that frequently lead to impulsive acts. Although I
believe that my emotional development is not perfect, I believe that I am learning to accept,
understand, and regulate my emotions more.
Social Development: I can interact with others properly, establish friends, and discuss topics
that are not entirely relevant to me, like I did when I was younger. Today, I can strike up a
discussion, I feel good about a group of individuals that are different from me, and I enjoy
getting to know people

Personal Identity: My personal identity seems to be a little hazy, but I feel that as I become
younger, it will become clearer. I feel that my attitude is calm and pleasant, and that it will grow
quickly.

Mental Development: My mental development has provided me with much improved cognitive
awareness. I could more effectively evaluate circumstances, organize, develop, and determine
circumstances, and do so with more peace of mind. I feel it will continue to improve.

Independent Activity 3

 Knowing oneself is more important than knowing others or not having a distinct
identity. Understanding who you actually are is always a lot greater reason than knowing
yourself through the perspective of others. Your identity is based on your own viewpoint
and should never be influenced by other people's perceptions of you or what you desire
based on what you see in others. This statement emphasizes the significance of precisely
defining one's biggest ambition or desire in life and consistently pursuing it until it is
realized. Take the risk, as the saying goes, because if you don't, you'll regret not taking
the shot when you had the chance. It is preferable to attempt and fail than to regret not
having tried. The only way to find out the outcome is to try.

WHAT I HAVE LEARNED

1. What are the characteristics of Self?

Body. - appreciate/ take care of it and be conscious of how media affects its' image.
Emotion. - be aware of how they affect choices and practice healthy responses to anger.
Social. - Recognize we're social beings, serve and love each other.
Mind. – appreciate and nature it
Spiritual. - nurture spiritual selves
2. Describe the idea of Self-concept?
The self-concept is a general term used to refer to how someone thinks about, evaluates
or perceives themselves. To be aware of oneself is to have a concept of oneself. Self-
concept tends to be more malleable when you're younger and still going through the
process of self-discovery and identity formation. As you age and learn who you are and
what's important to you, these self-perceptions become much more detailed and
organized.
3. Explain the importance of Self Knowledge?
It’s important because everything you experience, every emotion, feeling, opinion,
impression, vision, impulsion, compulsion, instinct and belief, etc, only exists inside your
mind. No matter what happens in your life, if you’re not aware of it, it doesn’t exist. It’s
irrelevant. As are you. Anything could happen, or not happen, and you’d be none the
wiser because your brain isn’t giving you the information you need to make an
interpretation of your physical and mental space.
