Business Idea

Problem Statement:
In a densely populated city, it is always tough to control the time management to reach in any
particular place. Every Morning when a person wakes up, he always has to think about how
much time is left to get to the desired location. Huge traffic, lack of traffic information, ticket
purchasing etc always creates a hassle for trouble free movement. Though UBER has
developed their system and policy to give their customer a premium facility by sharing car
location information, approximate travel time and subsequent fare, but not every people can
afford to use it. Besides these facilities are not so common for the public transport.
Issues to be Resolved:
The issues those have to be resolved will help to minimize the trouble in traffic system.
Reduction of waiting time for a desired transportation, booking a ticket via online can
technically solve the problem a bit.
Business Plan:
To address the abovementioned issues, a mobile application “Transport Helper” can be
developed. Through this app bus location can be tracked and can be calculated how much
time is left to pick passengers from a desired bus stoppage. Additionally, ticket purchasing
facilities can be provided via this application. Initially a contract agreement needs to be
established with the bus owner to install a tracker and QR code reader along with other
conditions. Advertisement to install this application should be done on the spaces of bus
stoppage.
Opportunity Mapping:
Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, is a densely city of 21 million people. There are 11,060
buses and 8,583 mini buses plying on roads which are owned by 137 companies. Initially
only premium AC buses should be connected with the app. Almost 60% people uses
smartphone with internet connection, so it will be convenient for them to connect with the
app.
