Gathering the facts:

>Mr. Cruz and the team's current project will lead them to acquire a large amount of
money if they finish it within 1 year.
>Mr. Cruz is being offered to a new project that will take 2 months to finish, for a faster
way to earn enough money to pay the medical bills of his ill mother.
>He has the intention to shift to the new project.
>The aging mother is dependent of the son job.
>His mother is the only family that he has left.
>If he decides to take the new project, it will endanger the livelihood of the other
members.

2. The ethical issue:

The ethical issue is not following the duty of Mr. Cruz in helping the project of his team
members. This violates the Duty as Respect for the Moral Law because he is being
controlled by his desires in which led his intention to not comply with the law.

3.) Short term vs. Long term consequences.

Short term:
Cruz and his team will lose their livelihood but his mother will live if he decides to works
with the new project.
Long term:
The mother will die, but her son, along with his team, will not lose their livelihood and
also be acquiring a lot of money if he decides to work with the current project.

>Morality is a matter of personal satisfaction.
