-Mahmoud El-Khateeb is an Egyptian footballer who was born on the 30th of October 1954.
Mahmoud was raised in a small village in Dakahlia governorate then he moved to Cairo with his
family.
Mahmoud joined El-Nasr club in Cairo and when he turned 15 years old his star started to rise
especially when the scouts saw him playing in the football schools league so he joined Al-Ahly
club when he was 16 years old only after it was very close to join Ismailia club.
He was playing in the youth team because of his cleverness and skills and he scored he started
his first official game on 15 of October 1972 against Plastic team and he scored his first goal and
his career started here. He stayed in Al-Ahly for 16 years he scored over a hundred goals in 199
matches. His career was full of many trophies which he won individually and as a team, if we
talk about the local one, he won the league title 10 times, the cup 5 times and for the
continental titles, he won the African league 2 times and the cup 2 times. Also, his career with
the international team was full of trophies, and for the individual titles he won the top scorer
title for many champions, man of the match and the most interesting one was the best player in
Africa.
In 1988 Mahmoud decided to retire and it was a shock for all Egyptian fans but he decided to
join the management board in Al-Ahly until he became the president in 2017 and he didn’t stop
achieving honors and titles in both individual and as a team but this time not only the football
team, he became responsible for every single kind of sports.
Mahmoud was not only famous inside the pitch but also outside he has many situations with
different people even if it’s not related to sports.
I think he will be the minister of youth and sports one day because of his wide reputation
around the world.

- Once upon a time, I and my friend had a movie night, in the beginning we asked each
other what to eat while watching the movie and then we decided to eat a pizza. We
watched a comedy crime movie called shaft. While we were watching the movie the
lights turned off and it was very quiet, suddenly the door had knocked and we started to
get nervous beside of a screaming sound comes from the next apartment.
It was the police who was knocking the door but they reached to the wrong address searching
for a criminal attempted to kill a woman, during this moment the criminal had escaped when
the woman started to scream.
