The 10 Major External Forces that affect the organization first we have the;
Economic forces, all of these have a direct effect on how businesses produce
and distribute their products or services. Social, Cultural, Demographic, and
Natural Environment Forces, which have a Major impact on Products,
Services, Markets and customers. Political, Governmental, and Legal
Forces are external environmental variables that represent key
opportunities for organizations and industries. Technological Forces are the
effects that technological advancements have on consumers, businesses,
and society in general. Competitive Forces Collection and evaluation of
data on competitors is essential for successful strategy formulation.

To create an EFE Matrix, you must first create a list of external factors and
categorize them as either opportunities or threats. Assign a Weight to Each
Factor, Assign a Rating, determine the weighted scores and total weighted score.
In regard to a sample firm's strategic position, the Competitive Profile Matrix
(CPM) identifies a firm's primary competitors, as well as their specific strengths
and weaknesses. The rating is based on strengths and weaknesses, with 4
denoting a major strength, 3 denoting a significant strength, 2 denoting a minor
weakness, and 1 denoting a major weakness.

0 (not important) to 1.0 (very important) to each factor , Assign 1 to 4 rating to
each factor ( major weakness to major strength) , Multiply each factor and Sum
the weighted scores.
