INTRODUCTION
Health is important because our life depends on it and is essential to attain a long
life span. Some people do not know how to take good care of their bodies and that will be
the cause of population's shorter life span. But some people know the importance of a
healthy diet, and are aware of the foods they take. The nutritious foods that most people
dislike to eat are very helpful to the body because they can help overcome diseases.
Eating healthy foods is a really helpful way to make a person stronger, to help fight
diseases, and to live longer. Choosing to eat healthy foods everyday is very important. It
will help the body to function well. Leading to a good health and hopefully, to a long life
span.

will benefit from results of this research because living a long and healthy life is a very
hard thing to achieve. People will gain knowledge on how to care for their own health so
they can live longer without experiencing serious issues on their health.
The study focus on how a person may achieve a long and healthy life span by
means of eating nutritious foods and having a good diet. The researchers will get
information from senior residents of Calamba City with ages 60 and above.
DEFINITION OF TERMS:

many physical changes that happen to the body due to ageing. But there are people who
look forward to old age, Specially getting old in a healthful way. 97% of Filipinos agree
that everyone can age healthily and that they can take positive steps to healthy ageing. The
survey additionally showed that 89% of those who agreed have already started with their
plans on living healthy at their current ages. "The keyword in healthy ageing is obviously
'health' and the World Health Organization(WHO) says it has three aspects and they are
physical, fitness, and finally, social, health means you are having good social life with your
family members, neighborhood and community, and you are not alone and lonely," said
Dr. Jamid Jan bin Jan Mohammed chairman of the Nutrition & Diabetics Program at
University Sains Malaysia, in a forum in Makati City on April 2019. Mohammed explained
that having a good health as you get older is beneficial to you and the people around you.
"Healthy ageing will enable you to enjoy long and quality life with your family and friends,
that means they can enjoy your company longer. You can work more because you are

This chapter presents the process on how the researchers gathered the data, the
research design, respondents, the sampling technique, research instrument, and statistical
treatment of data.
Research Design
This study used a descriptive survey method in order to show the background profile
such as personal information, eating habits, lifestyle, and diet. It shows the respondents'

CHAPTER 4
This chapter presents the analysis and interpretation of data. This are the results for the
information that the researchers gather, this will show the respondents eating habits and
lifestyle.

feed every day and the overpopulation happen when a family consist of more than 10

This research is entitled “The effects of diet to human health and life span” this research
presents the respondents’ eating habits and lifestyle. It shows the effects of food on our
body. The advantages and disadvantages of eating different kinds of food in the human’s
