INTRODUCTION
On-the-Job Training (OJT) is a training that takes place while trainees are
working. It is also a place of work while he/she is doing the actual job. It means that
skills can be gained while trainees are carrying out the jobs. OJT benefits both
trainees and the host company. The trainee learns in the real work environment and
gains experience dealing with the tasks and challenges that will be met during a
normal working day. Moreover, OJT focuses on the acquisition of skills within the
working environment, generally under normal conditions. The acquired general
skills of the trainees from their training can be performed from one task to another
while the specific skills can be shown uniquely to a particular job.
At present, schools and universities are included in the OJT in the curriculum
to meet the demand of the growing IT industry. Iloilo State College of Fisheries
(ISCOF) is one of these universities that offers programs which include OJT in the
curricula. The school requires the students to undergo such training and document
the training experience for their narrative report. This reports documents and
compiles the training experiences and progress of the student trainees after the OJT.

INTRODUCTION
The School Queuing System was developed primarily for The Registrar's Office of ISCOF-
Main Poblacion. This was a simple PHP/MySQL project that cater the need of the students for
queuing system. This project helped queue students without falling in line in front of the
transaction window or desk such as in the BSIT/BSHM/BSHRM/BIT window or desk of the
Registrar's Office. This project displayed the serving queue for each course type stored in the

system. The School Queuing System from the said feature displayed the serving queue of each
course type, which meant that the system admin could easily add or manage the list of the courses
of their school. In this feature, the admin does not need to duplicate the application for other
school queuing system. In addition, the registrar should provide monitors to display the queuing
system for the students. The BSIT/BSHM/BSHRM/BIT courses' display monitor should differ
from BSED/BEED courses' display monitor.
In this queuing system, the students to be queued for their transaction window or desk,
should be provided by the registrar with one computer unit in which they would use to register
their name and get their queue number. For the feature in this system, the course types are
dynamics. It meant that there is no need to provide a unit for each course type. The students can
simply enter their name, select their type of course, then save it. The system will then generate a
printable queuing number for each registered student. Moreover, the best printer to use in this
system is the Receipt Printer.
The serving queue display in this project was separated into two panels, the left and the right
panels of the display. The Left Panel is the area of the display in which the serving queue, the
queue number, the student's name, and the transaction window were to be displayed.
Otherwise, the Right Panel displayed the slide show for the uploaded files, such as the
advertisement, image banner or a short clip video. This display is dynamic and could be managed
by the system admin.

CHAPTER V
The trainee observed that the staff needs to record the student's data each
time he enrolls. Their duty include registering. The trainee and his team see this as an
opportunity to develop a system to improve staff's efficiency as well as to ensure that
social distancing would be properly observed, especially in this time that COVID-19
had highlighted the need for an effective and protocol-observed queueing system.
Due to Covid-19 pandemic, students were not allowed to work on-site. The
trainee and his members decided to create a mini system namely, the “School
Queuing System”, as home-based training that was equal to 490 hours of On-the-Job
Training in the office of the registrar. This was to keep track of all signed-up datas
and to get easy access to the number of clients.
After completing the system, the home-based On-the-Job training made
