YOUR COURSE

• You are undertaking either:

• UAL Level 2 Diploma in Music Performance and Production

• Or

• UAL Level 3 Diploma in Music Performance and Production

THE UNITS

• Both courses are broken down into 8 units.

• You are awarded either a Pass or Fail grade
for units 1 – 7.
• You will be awarded a Pass, Merit or
Distinction grade for unit 8, and this is the
overall grade for this qualification.
• Successful completion of the Level 2 course
allows you to undertake the Level 3 Diploma.
• Successful completion of the Level 3 course
allows you to undertake the Level 3
Extended Diploma in year 2.
The units are spread across 5 consecutive projects. For each project you
will have access to an assignment (or project) brief.
The assignment briefs will say how long you have for the whole project, and include an overview of the tasks
required. It will ask for what evidence must be produced.
Included will be assessment information.
You will each be given a Wix website
template to upload and present your
work for each project.

The template will have suggested layout

and pages, and may also have more
information relating to the requirements
of the units.

Wix allows you to design your own

website, adding various media alongside
written work.
On the Wix site you are able to
add videos, either your own
uploaded files or embedded
movies from places such as
YouTube.

Similarly, you can uploaded your

music or other audio files.

You can also embed your

Soundcloud music if its
appropriate to the task.
You will be mostly working on
Logic Pro X in the studios.

Alongside your audio recordings we

expect pictorial evidence of your
work in the form of screenshots.
Your finished Wix site should have a unique design, and have a
combination of audio recordings, written evidence, and technical
screen shots.

Videos should also be considered, especially for evidence of research.

Your Wix site can be accessed by your tutor, who may
ask you to transfer them permissions of a duplicate
version. This ensures that the work we receive is not
later modified.

Your work is assessed and feedback is generated.

Although units 1 to 7 are only graded to pass, the
feedback will include an indicative grade. ‘Satisfactory’
equates to ‘Pass’, ‘Good’ equates to ‘Merit’, and
‘Excellent’ equates to ‘Distinction’.
