Grammar rule: Like + -ing

1- After verbs which express likes and dislikes we often

use the verb + -ing.
Example: -We love watching films at home.
-My sister enjoys reading travel books.

2- If a verb ends in -e, we drop the -e before adding -ing.

Example: live ➞ living
ride ➞ riding
3- If a short verb ends in consonant + vowel + consonant,
we double the final consonant before adding -ing.
Example: get ➞ getting
shop ➞ shopping
travel ➞ travelling
