Subject: Introduction to Sustainable Development
Career: Undergraduate
Units of Credit: 60 hours (04 credits)
Prerequisite: -

Syllabus/
Description:
The course was designed to present the main topics related to
Sustainable Development (SD) in an understandable and useful
way for the different areas of knowledge, as well as to
demonstrate the need for interdisciplinarity in dealing with
environmental issues.

Conceptual, thematic, analytical and institutional aspects, as well

as some fundamental tools and instruments for the
implementation of actions and practices that have the DS as
objective, are considered. Critically, the course highlights the
most important issues of the interaction between society and
nature and its relationships with the main current problems.

The course is conducted through lectures given by the professors

of the Postgraduate Program in Sustainable Development of
CDS / UnB and uses audiovisual resources and group dynamics
to discuss the topics covered, as well as technical field visits.
