ART IS UNIVERSAL

“ONE DAY” BY
MATISYAHU

Art is universal in that it enables us to express ourselves in which ever

way we want. It is the most basic thing a man can do to encourage everyone
around him. Art has always been timeless and universal, spanning through eras
and continents.

Music is widely regarded as the most universal of all art forms.  Music is a
symbol of self-expansion and unity. Music can be a stress reliever, a means to
rejoice, or a way to connect with others. Music brings us into contact with
individuals around us, allowing us to discuss, share, and develop the music
through human connection. Because music's concepts are widely discussed and
understood, the songs, as well as the messages they convey, will live on long
after they are no longer relevant. Good songs are timeless, and they may be
enjoyed and connected to by people of all generations.
ART IS CULTURAL
“BAYANIHAN” BY CARLOS
FRANCISCO

Carlos Francisco created Bayanihan as one of his works of art. Being a

bayan is the precise translation of the artwork Bayanihan, which has been used
to describe a spirit of communal unity and collaboration. The artwork conveys
itself extremely clearly and profoundly, displaying Filipino characteristics by
following a historical practice of helping neighbors in migrating, obtaining
enough volunteers to carry the entire house and relocating to a new site. At the
end of the day, everything is done in a cheerful and festive mood. The moving
family expresses their appreciation by hosting a small fiesta for everyone.

Culture has an impact on an artist's work by providing a social context in

which their work can be defined. To some extent, all artworks are artifacts of
their culture, reflecting dominant assumptions and beliefs. Bayanihan is a
Filipino tradition that exemplifies true community spirit. It's where each
individual effort is put together in a cooperative effort. It is the art of
cooperating with others. Bayanihan is a Filipino tradition that has been passed
down through the generations. When we discuss this, there is a sense of
camaraderie. It's a genuine act of kindness that doesn't anticipate or ask for
anything in return. Everyone contributes and helps one another in achieving a
common goal. This has always been a part of our culture as Filipinos.
ART IS AN
EXPRESSION

THE STARRY NIGHT BY VINCENT VANN

GOGH

Art is the ultimate expression of personal emotions for many artists. A

wide range of artists around the world feel that conveying a hidden emotion or
idea through art is preferable to presenting it out loud. When describing how a
person feels when looking at an art creation, the saying "a picture is worth a
thousand words" should be used. Not only is the work essential, but so are the
time and skills that each artist use.
Contoured forms are a type of expression in Starry Night, and they are
utilized to convey emotion. Many believe that the night sky reflects van Gogh's
turbulent quest to conquer his disease. The village is painted in dark colors, yet
the brightly lit windows give it a welcoming atmosphere. In comparison to the
dramatic night sky, the town is calm, and the night's silence can nearly be felt in
Starry Night. The steeple towers over the settlement, symbolizing the town's
unity. The church steeple's composition conveys a sense of size and isolation.
ART IS NOT
NATURE

Art is a man-made creation.

Furthermore, the phrase "art is not nature"
refers to the fact that it is not a natural
phenomenon. Man, on the other hand, has
taught himself to look for art in nature. Art is
not created by nature, it is created by man.
Humans learnt and recognized logic and
pattern in our daily lives, which set us apart
from other creatures.

According to Man Ray “Nature does

not create works of art. It is we, and the
faculty of interpretation peculiar to the human
mind, that see art.” Art is a perspective of
reality, rather than a representation of it.
Humans create art, and though artists
frequently find inspiration and subject matter
in nature, and artists do use nature as a
medium, art is not nature.

It is not nature because, in many

ways, art is not "natural," but rather a man-
made construct. Everything is nature if art is
nature. As a result, the term "nature" is
become outdated. Art is nature if nature is life
and humans are alive and create art.
ART IS A FORM OF
CREATIVITY

Salvador Dali's "The Persistence of Memory" is a rare work, gathering of

artists and authors a North Star for creative production. The way Salvador Dali, the
famous surrealist painter, addressed his subjects has some vital lessons for those
of us looking for creative solutions. Through visionary great leaps in thinking, icons
have emerged throughout history who have drastically affected the world's future
course. One such person was Salvador Dali. But, more importantly, he, like other
surrealists, questioned our understanding of conventional thinking while also
visualizing and physically representing the concept of unconventional thought in
his works.
In his painting, we can see how he was creative in doing it, everything that
you can see here has his own meaning. He use his imagination that involves
putting things, ideas, feelings, or images together in the artist's mind, it is
intimately linked to creativity. The artist's imagination can take the form of
visualizing, thinking about, or feeling about the proposed work of art.
ART INVOLVES
EXPERIENCE
“THE SCREAM” BY EDVARD MUNCH

The concept of "art as experience"

emphasizes that the creation of art must
have personal and intellectual worth. In this
view of art, the creator must have a close or
subjective relationship with their work in
order for both to be valid.
The Scream was a painting that
Munch created to reflect his soul, according
to him. Rather of focusing on realism and
excellence in his paintings, he preferred to
portray his feelings in an exaggerated style.
Munch claimed that he was portraying a
period of existential crisis in his painting.
Munch was frequently affected by
depression as a result of these successive
tragedies, which may be seen in his art.
Anguish, sorrow, fear, death, and pain are
common themes in his writings. In his own
words, he sought to use painting to portray
"the most subtle states of mind."
The concept of "art involves
experience," in my opinion, means that art is
a way to convey one's feelings, emotions, or
ideas based on one's experiences. As a
result, art conveys the artist's experiences or
their life encounters.
