Name Harry Potts


Age 27
Work experience Harry graduated at 21 from Oxford University with a degree in Business
Studies. He has had four marketing positions with different companies.
His current job is head of marketing in a large London IT company. He is
currently also studying for an MBA.
Qualities Harry is ambitious and he wants more international experience. He works
very hard and he would like to be head of a large company before he is 30.
He prefers sending emails and preparing reports than communicating face-
to-face.

Name Sheryl King


Age 58
Work experience She works as a team leader in the sales department in a large IT company.
She has been there since 1987.
Qualities Sheryl is a very popular leader. She enjoys her job and working with her team
and she also loves meeting clients and is confident in communicating with
them. She doesn’t like new technology and prefers speaking on the phone
and face-to-face. She speaks different languages – she is fluent in French and
German and can even speak Intermediate Chinese.

Name Martin Berry


Age 39
Work experience He works as a sales manager in a small family travel agency. He has
worked there for 5 years. Before that he was a mathematics teacher in an
International School in Malaysia for 10 years.
Qualities Martin likes his job and enjoys dealing with staff and customers. He travels
a lot in his job and enjoys working with people from different countries. He
works long hours in his job. He prefers talking to people one-to-one and finds
large groups quite difficult.

Name Jenny Rout


Age 42
Work experience She is director of her own fashion company with 65 employees. The
company has been very successful and has contracts in Europe, Africa and
Asia.
Qualities Jenny’s hard work and energy has taken her company from one small room
in Manchester to large multi-national offices in London and Hong Kong. She
loves her clients. These days she doesn’t spend much time in the office and
has a great sales team that help the company grow and grow. She is always
looking for new countries to work in and enjoys travelling to new places to
find opportunities. She has recently had her third child and wants to spend
more time with her children.
