November 7 LP (Wednesday)
November 7 LP (Wednesday)
I. OBJECTIVE
Learning Competency:
At the end of the lesson, the learners should be able to:
2. Explain physical changes in terms of the arrangement and motion of
atoms and molecules
Subtask:
Identify and explain the processes taking place through drawings on what
happens to the particles of ice when it turns to liquid and using the particle model
of matter.
Values Integration:
IV. PROCEDURE
A. Preliminary activities
1. Drill
o Introducing an action song about matter to the class.
2. Unlocking of Difficulties
o Particles
o Model
o Kinetic energy
B. ELICIT
o Arrange the jumble phrases:
o (of matter particles up is made tiny of)
o (the time of matter particles are all moving)
o (these spaces have between them particles)
o (The particles of matter each other attract)
C. ENGAGE
o The learners will conduct an experiment on what changes takes place when ice
turns into liquid water. Write your observation on your answer sheet.
D. EXPLORE
o The learners will answer the guide questions with regards to their experiments.
Explain briefly.
E. EXPLAIN
o The teacher further explains the concepts of the experiment.
F. ELABORATE
o As a student, how is it important that you must at least aware of such concepts?
For instance, the changes taking place when water is heated or cooled.
G. EVALUATE
Enumeration.
DIRECTIONS: Identify and explain the processes taking place through drawings and
using the particle model of matter. In a ¼ sheet of paper, provide or give what is asked.
1. Make a drawings on what happens to the particles of ice when it turns to liquid.
2. Give the four basic aspects of the particle model of matter.
H. EXTEND
Review and study the lessons in module 1 for unit 3 for your unit test tomorrow.
