“A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING TO THE BARANGAY TO ADOPT CITY ORDINANCE NO. 004

Series of 2001 REGULATING THE TIME OF DISPENSING OR SELLING OF CIGARETTES AND
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES”

WHEREAS, it is public knowledge that smoking cigarettes has deleterious impact on minors and it’s not
their past time and it is spulent desire of this body to help minimize if not curb the smoking addictions of the
teenagers in the community;

WHEREAS, no person are allowed to dispense or sell liquor, wine and other alcoholic drinks beyond 12:00
midnight until 4:00 a.m. of the same day to any person. Mandatory posting of the salient feature of this
ordinance is required upon the owner of the establishment, violation of which shall mean cancellation of the
Mayor’s permit previously issued them. And there are penalty clause: 1 st offense – Php. 500.00 each to
both the actual seller or dispenser and the actual buyer. 2 nd offense – Closure of establishment and
imprisonment of both the actual seller and buyer not more than 3 months;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Hon. Erlinda O. Boleche and duly seconded by Hon. Lito A. Tuyan.

RESOLVED as it is hereby RESOLVED, that said ordinance be as hereby adopted in Barangay Maslug,
Baybay City, Leyte.
