Permaculture is a holistic design system that is geared towards independence and productivity.
Implementing these practices can provide communities with a fresh perspective on how to
combat their needs and utilize resources effectively.

The Green Warrior Team is comprised of development specialists with extensive experience in
countries all around the world. The Green Warrior Team provides peace-building, empowerment
of children, community development, health and nutrition, sustainable livelihoods, gender equity,
climate change adaptation and environmental and marine conservation. The expertise provides
the communities with proper management and training to tackle problems that lie in food
security, eco-education and sustainable livelihoods.

The site provides information on training opportunities and an apprenticeship program. The
program details hands on projects appointed towards the needs for gardening, animal care,
maintenance, hygiene and building. These categories merge together to provide the volunteer
with a focus in team work, leadership, communications and foreign relations. After the ten week
program, volunteers have the opportunity to earn the Diploma of Permaculture Aid.

A blog is featured on the site that specifies current concerns in the field. The blogs are used as
an educational tool as topics such as women in poverty, clean air supply and the experiences of
the volunteers and their efforts are discussed throughout. Funding can be found on the tab to
the left of the blog where it provides additional information on the program and how one can
contribute.

Summary:
Steve Cran had a vision to benefit communities through the use of permaculture. The new
