Simulation discussion 7 – Milagros Fernandez Valle

Coments for Team 5 – Akenya Rumph, Tamara K Moye, Muntadher Shadhar

The general report they send demonstrates a good analysis of the results with important
details. I can see very good results in decisions and good teamwork. My comments have the
objective of building more on what they have already sent.

Pricing:

We can see that the pricing strategy was based on the comments of the consumer as they
pose is an important part to raise a strategy, as well as the influence of the market. However, in a
pricing strategy, it is important to take into account the analysis of the market that includes the
competition, as well as the inflation variable. In the case of Alright, for example, they raised a
very low price, so according to what they propose (Winer and Dhar, p.252) this can have a long-
term impact on sales of the product, if they review the sales they have had in general, they will
they have maintained without significant increases impacting the profit and the stock price. Do
you agree with what has been proposed?

Promotion:

The strategy of maintaining the positioning of the company's flagship product is always
advisable since losing market is not the option. However, discount and channel volumes should
always accompany this strategy for the current product, if your strategy was to maintain the
positioning and the sales of this product are mainly in retail how they handled the shelf space?
Since we can see that the trade rating of the flagship product was decreasing in the periods of 5-8
and the new products grew, this is in contrast to its initial strategy. What do you think could have
improved at this point?
