Title of the reading SUMMARY

 Hard to Imagine  The article I read was about the competition to translate
Dr. Jose Rizal's works, which include the two well-known
An Abridged Version
novels Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo. And Leon
By Benedict Anderson Ma. Guerrero was the one who translated the famous
works of Dr. Jose Rizal however, due to low the low cash
prize he did not submit his work instead he gave it The
Manila Times for publication. And since then Guerrero’s
translation became the only translation anybody reads
now. And after analyzing Guerrero’s translation it is
proved that the translations has been distorted in an
interesting way.

How does it develop and/or promote nationalism to you?

 After reading the article, everything manufactured in the

Philippines should be admired, and we should learn to
market and share it with others. And we should also be
proud of our Filipino ancestors. Be proud of our heritage.

How does it develop and/or promote patriotism to you?

 After reading the article I have this urge to study the
history because you can't influence the future until you
know exactly what happened before. And I also became
curious on how does Filipino people express their
feelings during the colonization time

How does it develop and/or promote volunteerism to you?

 After reading the article I have this urge to be a
volunteer here in my barangay, to lend a help and to
know what are the current situation.
