Topic/sub topic: C Major scale ascending and descending

Objectives: By the end of the lesson learners should be able to:

a) Determine between C Major scale ascending and descending.

b) Play the C Major scale on the keyboard, both in ascending and descending order.

Prior Knowledge: Learners have basic knowledge that the choir has different voices and
they know the importance of warm up before the choir starts to sing.

Skills to be developed: Learners will be able to place notes in a correct manner on the
stave, and they will be able to write the C Major scale clef correctly.

Resources: Textbook, Chalkboard and Keyboard.

Values: During the course of the lessons, learners gain confidence of playing notes on a
keyboard.

Teaching/Learning Methods: Demonstration Method, the teacher will demonstrate to the


learners how to draw C Major scale on the stave and how to play C Major scale on a
keyboard.

Assessment strategies: Learner centred strategy involve them in a classwork.

Assessment tools: Use of Chalkboard, Ruler, and keyboard to draw staves.

Introduction: The teacher tells the learners about how he is going to teach on this day. He
