Recruitment Rules for Sr.TOA (G)-2007

It is proposed to hold the Screening Test as per the Corporate Office

Letter cited under reference from TOA{(G),(P),(T),(TG)} cadre to Sr.TOA(G)
from amongst the eligible officials of TOA cadre as per provisions laid in the
Recruitment Rule of Sr.TOA-2007 for Sr.TOA(G) cadre.

Eligibility: All conformed TOAs {(G),(P), (T), (TG)} of basic grade having
4 years of regular service in the cadre as on 01/07/2013.

Eligible candidates may be divided in to Two categories.

Category I:

Candidates who possess 10+2 standard or equivalent educational qualification

with eligibility conditions mentioned above Will be considered for promotion
under walk-in-group.

Category-II:

Candidates who do not possess 10+2 standard or equivalent educational

qualification with eligibility conditions mentioned above will be eligible for
Screening Test.
Applications may be invited from all the eligible candidates by the respective
SSAs as per the enclosed proforma.
The syllabus for the Screening Test is enclosed in Annexure -II.

The last date for submission of applications by the candidates may be fixed as
20.01.2014. . IF THERE IS NO ELIGIBLE CANDIDATE, A NIL REPORT HAS
TO BE SENT WITHOUT FAIL. It is the responsibility of the Heads of SSA to
scrutinise the applications and admit the candidates who are satisfying the
above eligibility conditions as per RR of Sr.TOA(G) dated 25/05/2007.

The following two separate lists may be given for on or before 30.01.2014.

1.Walk-in-group candidates- containing names of candidates along with

designation, HRMS No, community, date of appointment, educational
qualification(PLUS-2) with proof, office in which working, status of absorption in
BSNL.
2. Screening Test candidates - containing names of candidates along with
designation, HRMS No, community , date of appointment, educational
qualification with proof, office in which working , status of absorption in BSNL.

Qualified officials will be brought to the restructured cadre of Sr.TOA (G) cadre
as per Delinking instructions issued vide DOT Lr.No.15-6/96-TE-II dated
23/12/1997 and BSNL Lr.No.F.No.15-1/2008-TE-II dated 08/12/2008.

Under no circumstances, the applications should be sent to this office

from SSAs.

EXAMINATION SCHEME:

There will be one paper of 100 marks of 2 ½ hours duration. The

qualifying marks will be of 40 for OC candidates and 33 for SC/ST
candidates. Questions will be of objective type except the paper of
English.

This paper will be to judge the working knowledge of the official to

assimilate training for grade he is being recruited. Main topics are as
below:-

i) GRAMMAR : NOUN, PRONOUN, ADJECTIVE, ARTICLE,

VERB, TENSE, GERUND,ADVERB,PREPOSITION,
CONJUCTION AND INTERJUNCTION.

II) COMPOSITION: ANALYSIS OF SIMPLE SENTENCE,

TRANSFORMATION OF SENTENCE,
SYNTHESIS OF SENTENCE, DIRECT
AND INDIRECT SPEECH.
III) COMPREHENSION

PART-B (GENERAL MATHEMATICS)

i) NUMBER SYSTEM

PART-C ANALYTICAL ABILITY TEST

The objective of this part of the paper is to test the analytical ability,
mental ability and general awareness of the candidate related with basic
scientific principles. The paper will cover the following aspects:-

a) Test of Reasoning

b) Test of Mental ability

c) Test of General Scientific Awareness.

PART-D REASONING WITH REFERENCE TO ASSIMILATION AND

APPLICATION OF DEPARTMENTAL REGULATIONS.

The objective of this part of the paper is to test the general awareness
and reasoning of the candidates with reference to assimilation and
appreciation of departmental regulations. There will be 4 different
sections, which will cover departmental practices & regulations pertaining
to the 4 streams of TOA cadre. The candidates shall have option to
attempt any one of the sections as desired by them.
