up to 50 % of falls,
that occur during hospitalisation*
BED HEIGHT 1
Particularly at night this restricts the bed’s
setting to the lowest position and
consequences of a fall. The BedMonitor
warns that the bed is not in this position.
BED BRAKES 2
A significant number of falls as the result
of a bed without locked brakes. The
BedMonitor immediately signals that the
bed’s brakes are not locked.
BACKREST SETTING 3
The BedMonitor sends out a warning
if the backrest is set at less than
30°. This position is important for
preventing pulmonary complications.
SIDERAIL POSITION 4
The signalling of the position of the
siderails, which are a basic safety feature,
is vitally important especially during the
night hours.

PATIENT’S WEIGHT
The BedMonitor can monitor the patient’s
weight on beds with integrated scales.
LINET | SafetyMonitor * When implementing the complete risk management system which can include the BedMonitor. 9
NURSE STATION 3
— Monitoring patient safety in real time
— Setting controls of safety parameters for individual patients
OVERVIEW MONITORS 4
Large monitors for a quick and clear overview of the safety
of patients on the entire ward.
MOBILE APPLICATION 5
for iPad and smartphone, Information wherever needed.

5 SafetyMonitor
— Communication with LINET beds
APPLICATION
— Collection, display and archiving of bed data
— Data export to the hospital information system
LINET | SafetyMonitor 11
BED LOCALISATION
Thanks to bed localisation function staff always has
current information about where a specific bed is
located. This function is of particular great benefit to
a hospital ward where beds are often moved.

MINI-TERMINAL
The mini-terminal is a control and communication device
located on the wall next to the patient’s bed.
— The current heart and respiratory rate directly at the
patient’s bed
— Confirmation or delay of signalled alarms (especially the
Bed Exit Alarm)
— Setting limit values for sounding alarms and local
administration of the system
When used in homecare it serves as a communication
module for a WiFi or Ethernet connection.

IN NURSING-CARE, IN HOMECARE
The carer has up-to-date information about the condition of his relative. It can be used on any bed with
a removable mattress and fixed frame. Information is available on a smartphone or home PC.
