Project Details
PROJECT BACKGROUND:

What specific problem or issue does your organization wish to raise as an advocacy?
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, public schools are forced to enforce remote learning without adequate support
from the national government in terms of funding. To enable learning in the safety of all students’ homes, public
schools must produce learning materials for each and every student. For this, they need lots of bond paper to
be able to print all the learning materials for all students.

Why is it important to advocate for this?

Without these bond papers and photocopier machines, the learning materials will not be produced and students
will not be able to conduct their remote learning while others with adequate resources will go on with their
studies. These disadvantaged students will be left behind. In the tough times of this pandemic, we want to limit
its impact on the other aspects of our lives, especially education.

How is the project related to your chosen advocacy area?

Our project directly contributes to the education of the disadvantaged students of Talavera Central School by
ensuring that they are able to continue with their studies through the quarantine measures.

GENERAL ADVOCACY AIMS:

What kind of concrete change in policy or action do you want your advocacy to achieve? Our advocacy
strives to promote education for all through concrete action by directly helping a public school in our
community to meet their needs with regards to basic educational tools like bond paper. This way we can
contribute to the education for all advocacy, specially in a time when education for those who are not
as privileged is compromised.

What level of advocacy are you aiming for? (Check only one):

£ Local (e.g., School, Village, Barangay, Municipality)

£ Regional (e.g., Metro Manila or an entire province)
£ Nation-wide (e.g., Malacañang, Senate or House of Representatives, or Supreme Court)
£ International (e.g., United Nations, ASEAN, EU, NATO, etc.)

Who are your target audience? (People in authority or influence who can make policy or action changes.)
Our target audience would include anyone who shares our advocacy and would like to show support by
donating to this cause.

Who are your allies? (People or groups who can provide you political support in achieving your advocacy.)
All people who can help support our advocacy our considered our allies. These include the people who are
directly supporting the advocacy by donations or by being the mediators like faculty of the school as well as
those who may indirectly help by sharing our publicity materials.

What is your advocacy slogan? (It must be clear, compelling, accurate, and short.)
Magtulong-tulong tayo para sa edukasyon ng mga mag-aaral ng Talavera.
