SELF-INTRODUCTION:
My name is Arsalan from Pakistan. I have completed my bachelor’s study and I am willing to peruse
higher studies, the best option is to opt for a foreign scholarship, for that I genuinely consider the
“CHINESE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM” the best of all for the foreign students and the
students like me. I am talented, sharp, hardworking person these are the words of the senior teachers of
my previous institution that I attended.

AREA OF EXPERTISE:
I have studied geophysics as major; the course work comprised Seismic Methods, Exploration
Seismology, General Geology, Structural analysis, General Stratigraphy, Geo Chemistry, Gravity
Methods, Magnetic Methods, Petrology, and Mineralogy. The subject that I adored a lot is seismic. I am
proficient in this topic as well. The thing that intrigues me the most is that this subject has so many
dimensions. I am highly proficient in the topics like 2D &3D Seismic Survey Design, Seismic Attribute
Analysis, Petrophysics, Engineering Properties of a Rock, Isotropy, Anisotropy, Seismic Inversion, Seismic
Migration, Seismic Hazard Assessment Gaussman Fluid Saturations, 2D & 3D-Seismic Interpretation
Methodologies, Seismic Velocity Modeling, Seismic Anisotropy, Seismic waves Tomography.

RESEARCH CAPABILITIES:
I am proficient in conducting advanced research; I had performed a research-based thesis which
comprises the Advance Reservoir evaluation work on a pre-selected area. I chose Karak area of upper
Indus Basin of Pakistan, a compressional regime; the people feel a bit shy for picking such an area
because of its complex structures. I performed advanced techniques to investigate different reservoir
properties such as petrophysics, Engineering Properties of the reservoir rock, when I compared my work
to the previous work done on the area, mine was outstanding and in accordance to that work.

RESEARCH INTERESTS:
I can perform high level research the topics like Seismic data processing for imaging the deep earth
structures, Exploration Seismology, Seismic wave modeling, Seismic migration, Seismic hazard
assessment, Seismic anisotropy.
RESOLUTIONS:
I am willing to give my full to the desired study program, I am ready to face any challenges that will
come forth and will outwit all the problems to achieve my goal: which is obtaining a first-class master’s
degree. I hope that you will consider as one of the lucky students who will be availing the grant and an

FUTURE PROSPECT OF THE STUDY:

In Pakistan, while getting a reasonable job any foreign qualified person is always preferred and paid well.
Also, Pakistan is in a desperate need for foreign qualified persons and their skills for its development. So,
in future when I’ll return, I am sure to get a good position to serve my country.
