    Dear Sh. Ram Roop Prasad,

    We are pleased to inform that your candidature for working as Retired Revenue Officer to act as
    "Competent Authority" on contractual basis for a period of Eleven months (11 months) in GAIL has been
    accepted.

    Your contractual engagement in GAIL (INDIA) Limited is broadly to carry out the role of Competent
    Authority as per provisions of The P&MP Act, 1962 in Bihar state for Barauni-Guwahati Gas Pipeline
    Project (BG PL) and is subject to the following terms and conditions of Service:

    I. You will be paid consolidated monthly remuneration ofRs. 83,7001- which will remain fixed during the
    entire contractual period and any extended period thereafter.

    2. Apart from the above you will be paid Daily allowance at the rate of Rs. 750 per day, if journey is to be
    made to any location other than your place of posting subject to a monthly ceiling of 25 days maximum.
    The travel plans have to be approved in-advance by Reporting Officer.

    3. You will be entitled to one day's paid leave for rendering services a- month apart from weekly
    Holidays as observed in GAIL.

    4. No other allowance will be admissible besides the above.

    5. Your engagement will be purely on "temporary basis" for a period of eleven (11) months from the date
    of joining. The performance will be reviewed after 11 months and services mayor may not be extended
    by GAIL (India) Limited.

    6. Your engagement with GAIL in on purely temporary basis and can be terminated pre-maturely by
    either side by given one month's advance notice without assigning any reason.
