Your New Virtual Card


CONGRATULATIONS ON RECEIVING YOUR NEW SHIPMONEY VIRTUAL CARD!

Your employer is introducing ShipMoney as a new and faster way to receive some or all of your wages
and cash advances. With ShipMoney, you will receive your pay immediately anywhere in the world.

ShipMoney Virtual cards are similar to a regular ShipMoney card, EXCEPT there isn’t an actual plastic
card that you carry in your wallet. With your Virtual card you can:
• Send money with Western Union, MoneyGram and TransFast
• Send money to bank accounts
• Top-up mobile phone accounts
• Transfer money to other ShipMoney cards
• Make purchases online

GETTING STARTED WITH YOUR VIRTUAL CARD


You will receive an email or text message that includes your Virtual card Customer ID and 4-digit web
code. These will be used to register your ShipMoney Virtual card so you can access your account. If
you do not receive the email, please check your spam folder before contacting your employer or
ShipMoney Customer Service.

HOW TO LOG IN TO YOUR VIRTUAL CARD

The first step is to register your card


at ShipMoney.com or the mobile App
• Enter the Customer ID sent to you by email or
text
• Enter the 4-digit web code sent to you by email
or text
• Click Confirm

Next you will create your username


and password
• Create your username - this must be at least 6
characters
• Create your password - passwords must be at
least 8 characters and must contain at least 1
upper case letter, 1 lower case letter and 1
number. It CANNOT contain your first or last
name, or the username you just created.
• Re-enter your password
• Click Next

Now set up your security questions


• Your ShipMoney account is already setup to
receive notifications. If you want to change
how notifications are sent, click on Email
and Text messages.
• You need to select and answer 3 security
questions. There are no right or wrong
answers. These are strictly used for
identification purposes when contacting
Customer Service, so choose an answer
that is easy to remember.
• Click Confirm

IMPORTANT
Now that you have registered, your Customer ID and web code can no longer be used to access
your account. Use the username and password you just created to log in.

HOW TO VIEW YOUR VIRTUAL CARD

To access your Virtual card, log into your account at


ShipMoney.com or the mobile App and select Display
Card

Click Next

Enter the 6-digit security code sent to your phone and/or email and click Next.

You can now view your Virtual card. Note that your Virtual card includes your name, 16-digit Visa card
number, CVV 3-digit security code and the expiration date. Please protect this card information just
like you would with your plastic Visa card.

Please note that
your new ShipMoney
Virtual card will
not display a
CVV code until your
first payment is
loaded onto the card.

How does the Virtual card differ from a physical plastic card?
The only difference is you can use a plastic card at an ATM or to make purchases at stores
How are my wages deposited?
Your employer will electronically deposit your wages to your Virtual card.
How do I activate my Virtual card?
It is automatically activated the first time your employer deposits funds to your card.
How can I use my Virtual card?
Use your Virtual card to send money with Western Union, MoneyGram and TransFast, to send money
to bank accounts worldwide, to top-up mobile phone accounts, to transfer money to other ShipMoney
cards and to make purchases online.

How do I get cash from my Virtual card?


You can send money to yourself using Western Union, MoneyGram or TransFast for cash pickup at
locations worldwide.
Can I use my Virtual card to shop online?
Yes. Some online merchants may use a security feature called Verified by Visa which sends a
one-time password via email or text depending on your settings. You will need to enter this code to
complete your transaction.
How do I make a card to card transfer?
Log into your card and select Card to Card Transfer. Follow the instructions. Your funds will be
transferred immediately to the other card.
How do I check my balance?
You can check your balance online or using the ShipMoney mobile App. The balance of your card will
be sent to your phone or email after you make a transaction or when a deposit is made.
Can I add personal funds to my Virtual card?
No. You cannot add any additional funds to your card other than your employer.
