Evaluate how the activities described in “What Do Operations Managers Do”? can be applied to
a student organization to improve its effectiveness.

 Forecasting techniques is important and very useful to estimating the future of an

organizations or establishments. It is preparation of past into the future just like based on
past demand. Forecasting techniques can be use of all student organizations if have
survey for their thesis. It is either qualitative nor quantitative method them use in
conducting their survey.

 Supply chain management it is a process in managing of the entire production flow of

good or service. In student organizations they can select class officers from top to lowest
position to manage all the tasks assign by their teachers. For example, there will be an
event in your class and the president have the right to conduct and assisting the meeting
for the event to become organize well.

 Technology selection use for development of product and services. It is the process to
makes communications become easily. Technology selection can be useful now to the
distance learning of all student organizations. Student organizations can be use mobile
phones, laptop and other modern technology to access their classmates and professors.
Other organizations decide to use wireless technology or Wi-Fi to easily sustain their
needs in kind of distance learning.

 Quality management assures that an organization, product or services is constant and

fulfill the standard quality of customers. In student organizations were create and
conduct their own webinar online. They need to standardizing the value of their output
and the quality of their performance to satisfy all the viewers or guest.

 Job design assign people to work and integrating job responsibilities that base of their
certain qualifications. Student organizations have activity and make a role play. The
leader of each group have responsibilities to assign task to their members in certain
skills.
 Scheduling minimize the production and worker cost. It helps to control planning as to
reduce workloads. Scheduling can be use of student organizations in their study by
creating google calendar task or a list of task at notebook that they need to do in a whole
week, so their task become organized, help to prevent workloads and to avoid late
submission of all activities and assignments.
