Sub.: Exemption of agri inputs shops and warehouses from the

lockdown

Respected Sir,

We are a registered association of agri input traders and farmers of

Bihar and represent a vast majority of them. We address this letter
to you in a representative capacity for and on behalf of our
esteemed members.

Seeds: As you are aware the main Kharif season has already been
started and farmers of Bihar are unable to get the seeds of different
crops due to lockdown. If the shops and warehouses are not
opened 6 days in a week, the sowing of seeds will be badly affected
and ultimately the acreage will be also reduced drastically.

Pesticides: There are number of standing of summer sowing in the

field which are being damaged by insects and as well as farmers
have to keep their harvested crops in their godown after proper
treatment with the chemicals to save it from the storage insects.

If shops of these agri inputs are not open six days in a week during
this time, there will be a huge loss of food grain and vegetable
production.

We therefore, request you to kindly issue the necessary directions

to open the establishment for 6 days in a week even for a limited
hours.
