golden opportunity to work in sales management as intern in their company. This
short period was full of experience, which will definitely help me in my future
career. First of all, I would like to thank my project guide Dr. Syed Wajih, for
guiding me throughout the project, and for giving us valuable insights about various
aspect of sales and Operations.

I express my deepest thanks to Ms. Menka Rathod [director] for taking part in
important decision and arranged all facilities to make life easier. I choose this

INTRODUCTION

This internship report has been prepared as a requirement of third year in Bachelor of
Business Administration in International Business from Ajeenkya D.Y Patil University,
Pune. I started my internship program at INFRATECH under SALES department. This report
focuses on a one month work from home experience. The reason for selection of this
internship was due to natural interest and curiosity in sales and marketing.

Sales and marketing is one of the most trendy and effective marketing method in this
technological world of business in terms of cost and customer engagement. And sales
marketing deals with exploration and understanding of customer needs, with response to
them through the development and also deals with impact on customers needs in accordance
with strategic purpose of the organization.

Working with infratech proved to be challenge but exciting in a lot of way for me as this was
my first ever internship. During the period of my internship not only have I got to learn a lot
of practical aspects of theory taught to me. This exposure will surely help me in my career. I
also got to know many people and made new contacts that might help me in the future. My
responsibility has taught me discipline, effective communication, professional writing, social
media management and many more.

There is not much opportunity to construct a research based report working in the sales
department. Nonetheless I have put my best effort in writing project.

Marketing:

The main form of marketing was through social media marketing. Our guide explained us
each and every step on how to organically increase the reach of the content. We were taught
how to use hash tags, mentioning someone, the appropriate time to post content to get
maximum reach and more.

I was told to focus on social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn. In this task the
main objective was to provide maximum exposure to the client by making their content
widespread by social media. The great thing about social media marketing is that I could
track how many people saw my content. I could use the analytics of my post to check who all
saw my post, who all liked, commented, disliked my content on each platform and formulate
my next content based on the data.

The Customer:

My daily task was to increase the reach of the clients assigned to me by calling them or
communicate with them and advertising their websites in different websites provided to me
by my intern head. They provided us with 6 to 7 clients per day so we had to call them and
tell them about land trading and how it works then tell them about company offers and land
locations to invest. If clients were interested in this location so we used to send them different
pdfs about locations.

The first phase taught me important skills such as communications skills, and email skills.
This task helped me to gain tremendous knowledge on how trading works and the difference
between about land trading and stock trading.

The Competition:

As India is a developing country and there is growth in infrastructure of our country there are
various companies in the field of Real estate and land trading such as Diamax Properties Pvt.
Ltd, Moneywise Property Consultants Pvt. Ltd, Growmore Space Solutions Pvt. Ltd and
many more. The scope for innovative techniques in this sector has also increased massively.

The Environment:

Infratech, according to me is a mixture of both Macroeconomics as well as Microeconomics


because the company deals with properties in various different regions on a large scale real
estate business but also the product i.e. the properties can be bought by people with low
income in an efficient way such as EMIs and loans.

The Terminology:

Dealing with real estate for the first time, I came across various new words and phrases that
confused me at first. We were guided about different terms and their meanings by our
mentor. There were words such as Buyers Agent, Fixed rate mortgage, Interest, Refinancing,
Closing cost and many more.

SWOT ANALYSIS

Real estate means that the investment of capital and resources to improve the land, buildings,
roads, utility system, fixtures, and structures. Some of the main 4 types of real estate are land,
commercial, industrial, and residential.  
When we say the real estate business, then it has to perform various functions like; brokerage,
management, marketing, development, sales, professional services, and lending. It provides
many career and job opportunities in the following categories; sale agent, real estate attorney,
analyst, appraiser, home and building inspector, commercial broker, loan underwriter, and
mortgage specialist.
The SWOT analysis of the real estate business would help us to see things from different
angles like strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that this industry has to face.

EXECUTIVE TRAINING REPORT

Target/Tasks:

-we were assigned with 7-8 contacts of interested candidates and our job was to
convince them and see through their requirements and interests in our properties

Strategy:

-My strategy was to get to know about the interests of the interested candidates
and suggest them properties in their budgets and preferred areas. And try to
convince them in buying by telling them about the growth and development in
those areas and growth in prices of those properties in near future.

Limitations:

-This Internship was work from home, which may result in some inconsistency in the data.

-The research is carried out by my own observation and questionnaire which is limited by
my perspective, views and knowledge about sales.

-Time constraint of 2 month was placed on the internship, because of this I was not able to go
deeper in some aspects of my work.

-The sample on basis of which the data was collected was a small part which was assumed to
designate the whole.

-The research report was made during the COVID-19 pandemic and the results and
interpretation may wary when the situation restores back to its stable self.

-Bias answers from the respondents

Findings:

-Company focuses more on sales.

-Interns were disappointed with no stipend.

-Lot of interns were not able to bridge the gap between theory and practical.

-Work from home has put limitation on the industry exposure

-Few people are unaware of the companies services.

-The number of sales promotional activities are less.

Conclusion

To conclude, I would like to say that with tremendous growth in real estate market
and development in our country opportunities for real estate business is growing day
by day. And I would also like to recommend that, the sales promotional activities
should increase and the target audiences age should be from 15-45. As this age of
group is aware about the growth in prices and its benefits of investing in properties.
And Interns should be offered some monetary benefits as well. HR should take fun
activities to reduce stress and Company should give stipend to every intern as it will
increase the interns morale and make them enthusiastic to work.
