WORLD MISSION SUNDAY COLLECTION
Today is World Mission Sunday. Today, every
Catholic community throughout the world is involved
in this special event. It is a day that we show that all
Catholics are missionaries who have a roll to play in
spreading the message of the Gospel. We are being
sent to be witnesses to what we have seen and heard,
through prayer and personal sacrifices, for our brothers
and sisters around the world. The financial assistance
you offer today, will support mission priests, religious
sisters and brothers, and catechists who are Christ’s
witnesses to a world so in need of His love, healing, and
peace. As always, your prayers are you most treasured
gift to the missions. Thank you for participating with
your prayers and donation on this World Mission
Sunday.

ALL SAINTS/ALL SOULS 2021
On Monday November 1st - the Feast of All Saints
and Tuesday November 2nd - the Commemoration
of the Faithful Departed, Mass will be celebrated at
9:00 a.m. At all the Masses for the entire month of
November, we will pray for the souls of your loved
ones. Please submit the names of those deceased for
whom you wish parish prayers and Masses offered
using the Remembrance envelopes provided
(additional envelopes are available at the entrance
table). CLEARLY write the names of the deceased
loved ones and friends you wish to have
remembered in prayer and drop the Remembrance
Envelope in the collection box or bring it to the
parish office.
For those who are unable to attend Mass, you are
welcome to mail or drop off an envelope labelled
“REMEMBRANCE ENVELOPE 2021” with the
names clearly printed and the stipend enclosed.

If you are new to the parish or have been attending
Mass here, ensure that you are registered by completing
the tear off section at the front of this bulletin. Please
do not take for granted that you are registered in the
parish, just because you attend Mass here. In the
future, should you be in need of a pastoral letter
(godparent, school, sponsor for confirmation, teacher
referral, etc.), it would be difficult to issue one if you
are not formally registered with the parish.

As Bartimaeus realizes,
Christ comes to heal our
spiritual and moral
blindness and open our
eyes to recognize the Spirit
of God in every person
and to discern the way of
God in all things; he opens
our eyes as well as hearts
and spirits to new images of a world made whole by the
grace of God, of lives transformed by the love of God.
As he restores to Bartimaeus not only physical sight
but a sense of the reality of God’s love for him, Christ
comes to restore our “sight” to see God’s sacred
presence in our lives, to heal us of our blindness to the
sins of selfishness and hatred we too easily explain
away.
Our deepest prayer is the cry of the blind
Bartimaeus: “Master, I want to see”: to “see” with the
human heart, to perceive in the spirit, to comprehend in
the wisdom of God.

2nd at 6:30 p.m. All parishioners are

The Prayer Shawl Ministry
continues to create handcrafted
shawls for parishioners, their
families and friends who are
coping with illness, loneliness, pain or trouble. They
are available to anyone who needs one. Please call the
office to request a shawl or lap blanket or if you would
like to join this ministry.
DIOCESAN SEPARATED & DIVORCED
HEALING MINISTRY SUPPORT GROUP
Every second and fourth Monday of the month from
7:00-9:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Spiritual Centre, 7020
Stanley Ave., Niagara Falls. Pre-registration is
required. Meetings will be held both in person at Mount
Carmel and virtually via Zoom platform. Next session
will be Monday, October 25 - 7:00 to 9:00 pm -

REGARDING PROOF OF VACCINATION &
THE MANDATORY USE OF FACE COVERINGS
Some highlights of the Diocesan policy:
- No proof of vaccination is required for anyone
attending Mass or other liturgical service in any church
in the Diocese of St. Catharines. Physical distancing
and face masks are required for the entire time
someone is in the church building, except to receive
Holy Communion.
- Parishioners who are elderly or may be medically
compromised may decide to stay home and participate
in a livestreamed Mass.
- Face shields are not an adequate form of face covering
- Masks will be provided if you don't have one
- Face coverings are to be removed for communion
-"Any individual...who does not comply with the
diocesan policy and the mandatory face covering law
will be solely responsible for any penalty or fine that
might be levied by the municipality or county for non-
compliance."
OFFERTORY ENVELOPES/PARISH ID
We are happy to see many of you returning to the
parish. If you don’t have your 2021 box of envelopes
that were issued last year, please make sure you put
your name on the offertory/donation envelope. Do not
use envelopes from prior years, those boxes may have
been reassigned to another family. In the next few
weeks, we will be distributing the 2022 envelopes and
your ID number may change due to fewer boxes being
ordered and ID’s having to be reassigned.

instructions (some banks charge a fee):
Go online and log into your bank account. Select Interac e-transfer and select a
recipient – the first time you will have to add recipient by putting in
donations@sthelenscatholic.ca (after the first time it will then stay on your list of
recipients). Input amount to send and complete the transaction. Note in the memo area
what your donation is for; Sunday Offertory (SO), Facility Maintenance (FM) and
Building Fund (BF). (Please include your ID# in the memo - contact the office if you
do not have a parish ID.)
Example - SO $20 One transaction can be made for all three if you wish. Such a
notation could look like this: SO $xx, FM $xx, BF $xx. If your transaction does not
work the first time, please try the next day as the Diocese can only receive a set amount
of donations in a 24-hour period. If you have any questions, please email or call the
office.
