can be possible.
In the case of the presence of water on the trench bottom when the pipe is being
laid, the trench shall be drained to the extent possible and for the time required to
make a visual inspection of the trench bottom and to install the pipes. After pipe
installation, the presence of water will be allowed, provided its level does not
cause erosion of the trench sides and pipe flotation before back filling. The water
pumped out of the trench shall be disposed off in an environmentally approved
manner.
9.1.11 At locations, where extra trench depth is necessary to fit the radius of bends and
to eliminate unnecessary bending of the pipe, excavation to a greater depth shall
be performed as necessary (case by case basis).
9.1.12 At no time during progress of the work, shall more than three (3) kilometers of
open trench be maintained ahead of other pipeline construction operations,
unless approved to do so has been granted by QP.
