District Tobacco Control Division Krishna District,

On Friday 10.08.2021, a training and awareness program for Krishna district Line officers on
"Tobacco and Other Tobacco Products Act 2003" was held at video conference hall, Joint Collectorate
office under the supervision of Shri L Shiva Shankar, Joint Collectorate, Krishna District.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri L Siva Sankar longed that the various branches of the High-Power
Committee should work together to make Krishna district a tobacco-free district. Experts from public
health division, director of Health - Professor of Dental Surgery and program officer Dr.Evooru Prashant
and state legal consultant Sri Putti Shiva Shankar were appreciated by Joint Collector for building
awareness on Tobacco and Other Tobacco Products Act 2003.

Dr. M. Suhasini, District Medical and Health Officer, Dr. K. Jyotirmani, District Hospitals Coordinator and
Dr. Usharani, Additional District Medical and Health Officer, other Program Officers and Line Heads were
attended the program. The district tobacco control department psychologist M.V.D. Subrahmanyeswara
Rao and Social worker V Sundara Taraka Ramarao expressed their gratitude to the attendees.
