Overview
Human embodied spirit the body and spirit are distinguishing his/her limitations and the possibilities of his/
her transcendence. The body and the spirit are not only united but they are integrated with each other.
Embodiment enables us to do and experience all the things that make us human persons
The Human Person as an Embodied Spirit Human existence is embodied existence. Many things related to
our existence as persons are related to bodies – age, sex, race, relationships, etc.
Objectives
1. The learner distinguishes his/her limitations and possibilities for his or her transcendence.
a. Recognize how the human body imposes limits and possibilities for their transcendence
b. Evaluate own limitations and the possibilities for their transcendence

As a student do you know your limit as a person? If yes, how can you handle your emotions for
As a student, I am aware of my limits, which have an impact on my self-concept, feelings, energy levels,
happiness, and a variety of other factors. It has a significant impact on me since I don't feel like a teen ager,
but I am aware of this. I deal with my difficulties by talking to people I trust, such as my friends and best
pals, and by listening to music to temporarily forget about them.
Using the Venn diagram identify the similarities and the differences of transcendences between HINDUISM,
BUDDHISM and the ideas of St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas.
