ABBREVIATIONS;
EnaDOM : Company or Owner, Energia Natural Dominicana ENADOM, S.R.L.
Vendor : STE’s collaborator which performs one or more processes (except welding for main components) for STE on the contract basis such
as nondestructive examination, post-weld heat treatment, painting, etc.
H : Hold Point
Hold Point (H) means, a point, designated by prior stated agreement in the Inspection and Test Plan(s), at which the performance of
an activity must be stopped and put on hold until specified actions are completed.
W : Witness Point (W) means, a designated inspection or test operation where, by prior agreement, the supplier / contractor is obligated to
advise the Company or his designee of a specified time in advance of the operation so that it may be witnessed; but the supplier /
contractor may proceed with work past the witness point if the Inspector or Engineer is not present at the appointed time providing
proper notification has been provided. When the inspection activity is performed by the supplier, then there must be documented
objective evidence of the satisfactory completion of the operation which can be verified at a later date by the purchaser.
R : Review Point (R) means, a process where there is review of relevant document instead of inspection / witness.

Note: Air test with solution film shall be in accordance with following requirements.
1) Ordinary unmodified household soap or detergents should not be used as substitutes for
specified Solution Film Testing. No liquid should be used that is detrimental to the
component being tested or other components in a system.
2) Soap solution for Solution Film Test consists of a household dishwashing liquid detergent
or liquid soap mixed with glycerol and water in the following proportions ;
1 part of liquid detergent or soap, 1 part of glycerol, and 4.5 parts of water.
3) To prevent the soap film solution from icing in the applicator container in cold weather when
the temperature is below freezing, alcohol or ethylene glycol (antifreeze) can be added to
the soap film solution described above, in the proportion of 1 part of antifreeze to 10 parts
of the modified soap solution.
