• 18 VDC to 32 VDC for the system components to operate correctly

• Tests the functionality of the soft keys, the LED lights, and the pixels of the
LCD screen.
• All LED indicators are illuminated upon entering this menu
• Pixel Test:
– Press both UP arrows: Black pixels
– Press both DOWN arrows: White pixels

– “▲or ▼” symbol: Switch direction
– “+” symbol: Switch has short to power

agreement
• This key is supplied by Caterpillar, and is unique to a specific CD620 control
box

flat surface
2. Center both tow point
cylinders
3. Lower the screed to the
ground
4. Pull the machine forward
slightly to remove any
slack at the tow point
5. Null the screed

• Follow the instructions on the first screen. Press OK key to start.


• First adjust the tow point to the center position per the instruction text, use
machine tow point switches or the arrow soft keys to position the
indicator (1) in the center of the calibration bar.
• When properly positioned, the Not OK icon (2) changes to a OK icon.
• Press and release the OK soft key to proceed to next instruction.

• Next adjust the tow point to set the lower limit. Use machine tow point
switches or the arrow soft keys to position the indicator (1) in the center of
the calibration bar.
• When properly positioned, the Not OK icon (2) changes to an OK icon
• Press and release the OK soft key to proceed to next instruction

• Now adjust the tow point to set the Upper limit. Use machine tow point
switches or the arrow soft keys to position the indicator (1) in the center of
the calibration bar.
• When properly positioned, the Not OK icon (2) changes to an OK icon
• Press and release the OK soft key to proceed to next instruction

Auto Valve Calibration

• The warning text appears on the LCD screen.


• Press OK key to begin the Auto Valve Calibration or press the Escape key
to abort.
• During the calibration the indicator bar and tow point cylinder will begin to
move during the calibration and a status percentage will be shown.
• When complete, the success screen will appear. Repeat on opposite side ,

– Select a side to calibrate
• Calibration wizard steps the
user through a manual
calibration procedure

Calibration – Export Valve Calibration

• Exports the valve calibration from one control box to the other
• On Cat screeds with an Electronic Control Module (ECM), the valve
calibration is automatically stored on the screed ECM and this menu option
is not used
• Any CD620 display can be attached and the calibration is downloaded at
power up

Reset to Defaults

• Resets the system parameters to their default values


• Does NOT influence tow point cylinder valve calibrations
