Once upon a time there were three bears who lived

in a nice little house in the forest. There was Father
Bear, Mother Bear and Baby Bear.

They each had their own bed, chair and bowl.

Father Bear’s things were great in size, Mother
Bear’s were medium-sized and Baby Bears were
small.

One morning, they prepared their porridge and then

decided to go for a walk while it cooled.

A little girl, named Goldilocks lived in the same

forest. She loved to walk through the forest,
watching the animals scurrying about and listening
to the song of the birds.

One day she walked further

than she had walked before
and came across a house she
had not seen. She wondered
who lived there, so she
knocked on the door.

When no one answered, she gave the door a little

push and walked in. She looked around and saw a
table. On the table was three bowls of porridge, all
ready to eat.

The porridge looked very inviting and Goldilocks was

very hungry after her long walk, so she decided to
have a little taste.

She tasted the porridge from the first bowl, but it

was too hot. She tasted the porridge in the second
bowl, but it was too cold.

She tasted the porridge in the last bowl and it was

just right, so she ate it all up.

She then went into the living room to rest and put
her feet up. She tried the great, big chair first, but
it was too big. She tried the second chair, but it
was too big too.

So she tried the smallest chair and it was just right.

But as she settled down in the chair to rest, it broke
into pieces.

Goldilocks was becoming very tired now, so she

went upstairs to the bedroom. She laid down on the
first bed, but it was too hard.

She laid down on the second bed, but it was too

soft. Then she laid down on the third bed and it was
just right. It was so good that she drifted off to
sleep.

Meanwhile, the three bears came home from their

walk in the forest. They walked inside and went to
their porridge.
“Someone’s been eating my porridge,” growled
Father Bear.

“Someone’s been eating my porridge,” Mother Bear

said.
“Someone’s been eating my porridge and they ate it
all up!” cried Baby Bear.

They walked into the living room. “Someone’s been

sitting in my chair,” growled Father Bear.
“Someone’s been sitting in my chair,” said Mother
Bear.

“Someone’s been sitting in my chair and they’ve

broken it all into pieces,” cried Baby Bear.

They decided to look around some more and when

they got upstairs to the bedroom, father Bear
growled, “Someone’s been sleeping in my bed.”
“Someone’s been sleeping in my bed too,” said
Mother Bear.

“Someone’s been sleeping in my bed and she’s still

there!” exclaimed Baby Bear.

Just then Goldilocks woke up and saw the three

bears. She screamed, “Help!” And jumped up and ran
out of the room.

Goldilocks ran down the stairs, out the front door

and away into the forest. She never returned to the
home of the three bears again.
