PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT/HONORS & AWARDS

A People’s Education Conference: Radical Joy and Transformative Justice, 2019

I presented a social justice lesson plan that I created during the curriculum fair at A People’s Education
Conference: Radical Joy and Transformative Justice. The purpose of this lesson is to teach sixth grade
students to create and analyze two histograms representing the current gender wage gap.

Anaheim Ducks First Flight Field Trip, 2019

I created an interactive lesson plan that was chosen to represent Cal State Fullerton’s teaching credential
program during the 2019 Anaheim Duck’s First Flight Field Trip. My lesson plan was distributed among
hundreds of other teacher candidates from different credential programs around Orange County, California,
who taught my lesson at the Honda Center to over 16,000 students. The purpose of this lesson is to have
students predict and observe how different pucks, made of various materials, perform when each puck is
launched at a consistent force by measuring the distance it travels on a set surface.
