Ezekiel 47:1-12
1 The man brought me back to the entrance of the temple,

and I saw water coming out from under the threshold of the
temple toward the east (for the temple faced east). The water
was coming down from under the south side of the temple,
south of the altar. 2 He then brought me out through the
north gate and led me around the outside to the outer gate
facing east, and the water was flowing from the south side.
Ezekiel 47:1-12
3 As the man went eastward with a measuring line in his

hand, he measured off a thousand cubits and then led me

through water that was ankle-deep. 4 He measured off
another thousand cubits and led me through water that was
knee-deep. He measured off another thousand and led me
through water that was up to the waist.
Ezekiel 47:1-12
5 He measured off another thousand, but now it was a

river that I could not cross, because the water had

risen and was deep enough to swim in-a river that no
one could cross.
6 He asked me, "Son of man, do you see this?" Then

he led me back to the bank of the river.

Ezekiel 47:1-12
7 When I arrived there, I saw a great number of trees on

each side of the river.8 He said to me, "This water flows

toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah,
where it enters the Sea. When it empties into the Sea, the
water there becomes fresh.9 Swarms of living creatures will
live wherever the river flows. There will be large numbers
of fish, because this water flows there and makes the salt
water fresh; so where the river flows everything will live.
Ezekiel 47:1-12
10 Fishermen will stand along the shore; from En Gedi to

En Eglaim there will be places for spreading nets. The

fish will be of many kinds-like the fish of the Great Sea.11
But the swamps and marshes will not become fresh; they
will be left for salt.12 Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on
both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor
will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear, because
the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit
will serve for food and their leaves for healing."
Deuteronomy 32:2
Let my teaching fall like rain and my words
descend like dew, like showers on new grass,
like abundant rain on tender plants.
Zechariah 13:1
“On that day a fountain will be opened to the
house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem,
to cleanse them from sin and impurity.
Isaiah 12:3
With joy you will draw water
from the wells of salvation.
John 2:19-21
19 Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will

raise it again in three days.”

20 They replied, “It has taken forty-six years to build

this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?”

21 But the temple he had spoken of was his body.
John 7:37-38
37On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood

and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty

come to me and drink. 38 Whoever believes in me, as
Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from
within them.”
Rv 8:10-11
10 The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star,

blazing like a torch, fell from the sky on a third of the

rivers and on the springs of water— 11 the name of the
star is Wormwood.[a] A third of the waters turned bitter,
and many people died from the waters that had
become bitter.
Dt 32:31-33
31 For their rock is not like our Rock,

as even our enemies concede.

32 Their vine comes from the vine of Sodom

and from the fields of Gomorrah.

Their grapes are filled with poison,
and their clusters with bitterness.
33 Their wine is the venom of serpents,

the deadly poison of cobras.

Dt 28:12
12 The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his

bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to

bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many
nations but will borrow from none.

In the center, around the throne, were four living
creatures, and they were covered with eyes, in front
and in back.

fire and, standing beside the sea, those who had been
victorious over the beast and its image and over the
number of its name. They held harps given them by
God
Rv.22:1-2

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of

life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God
and of the Lamb 2 down the middle of the great street
of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of
life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every
month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of
the nations.
Ps 1:1-3
Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
2 but whose delight is in the law of the LORD,

and who meditates on his law day and night.

3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,

which yields its fruit in season

and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers
Jn 3:5-6
5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can

enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of

water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the
Spirit[a] gives birth to spirit.
